FIP Gold Belgrade 2026 in the Spotlight of Serbian Media

One of the biggest international padel events ever held in Serbia has attracted significant attention from the national sports media. FIP Gold Belgrade 2026, taking place in Belgrade from August 24 to 30, has been featured by leading Serbian outlets including Novosti, B92, Sport Klub and Telegraf.

This week, Belgrade has become one of the key stops on the international padel map. FIP Gold Belgrade brings together around 200 players from more than 40 countries, confirming Serbia’s growing importance on the global padel scene.

The tournament is being played at two attractive locations within Belgrade Waterfront. The qualifying rounds and the opening stages of the main draw are being held at Padel Center BW, while from the quarterfinals onwards the competition moves to a specially built central court located in front of The St. Regis Belgrade and Belgrade Tower.

The quality of this year’s field has attracted particular attention from the Serbian media. Some of the biggest names in world padel have arrived in Belgrade, including Argentina’s Franco Stupaczuk and Spain’s Jon Sanz, both players from the very top of the FIP rankings.

The arrival of a large number of professional players and representatives from more than 40 countries is another confirmation of the rapid development of padel in Serbia, as well as Belgrade’s growing reputation as a destination capable of hosting top-level international sporting events.

Ahead of the tournament, President of the Serbian Padel Federation Đorđe Mijailović emphasized that FIP Gold Belgrade represents much more than a sporting competition. It is an event designed to position Belgrade and Serbia as destinations for world-class padel while contributing to the continued development of the sport across the Balkans.

An important part of this year’s event is also its humanitarian dimension through cooperation with UNICEF. Serbia’s highest-ranked padel player, Luka Polovina, invited fans to support the tournament and both the international and Serbian players, highlighting how much it means to him to compete in front of a home crowd.

The strong media interest further confirms the importance of FIP Gold Belgrade for the promotion of padel in Serbia. Ahead of the tournament, Novosti, B92, Sport Klub and Telegraf all reported on the event, highlighting the high level of competition, the attractive setting and the arrival of elite international players.

With matches featuring some of the world’s best padel players, the unique atmosphere of Belgrade Waterfront and increasing interest from the public, FIP Gold Belgrade 2026 represents another important step toward positioning Belgrade and Serbia as one of the emerging padel centers in this part of Europe.

The tournament runs until August 30, with the final rounds set to bring the best players together in the battle for the title on the central court next to Belgrade Tower.
